Our work focuses on empowering women, girls, and marginalized groups to live with dignity, make informed decisions about their health, and fully participate in social, economic, and political life.
Promoting Gender Equality
Gender equality is at the heart of YAPAD’s mission.
We advocate for the equal participation of women and men in leadership, peacebuilding, and community development.
Through our programs, we work to:
Empower women and girls with education, training, and leadership opportunities
Challenge harmful social norms and cultural practices that limit gender equity
Promote women’s rights and representation in decision-making processes
Support economic empowerment initiatives that enable women to achieve financial independence

Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)
Our SRHR initiatives focus on ensuring that individuals—especially women and adolescents—have access to accurate information, quality health services, and the freedom to make choices about their bodies and futures.
We work with communities, health providers, and youth leaders to:
Promote awareness and education on reproductive health, family planning, and rights
Support maternal health services, including safe motherhood and prenatal care
Advocate for the elimination of gender-based violence (GBV) and harmful practices such as early marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM)
Strengthen youth-friendly services to promote healthy lifestyles and informed decision-making
